Spy Kids PSA (2001) In 2001, San Antonio-born director, writer, and producer Robert Rodriguez released the first Spy Kids film through his Austin-based production company, Troublemaker Studios. This PSA for the Lower Colorado River Authority features stars Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara giving safety tips for young swimmers. The production worked with LCRA to film scenes on Austin’s Lake Travis.
